Forward Emails or Drag-And-Drop files
There are two simple ways to import deal-related files (both structured
and unstructured) into Origin for data extraction.
First, every user is provided with a unique email address where you can simply forward any emails containing deal files.
Alternatively, you can drag and drop your files directly into Origin.
Once the files are uploaded, the automated data extraction process will
start immediately.
AI-Powered automated Data Extraction
Origin uses a combination of AI-powered large language models and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to automatically extract data from your imported files.
After the initial extraction, our advanced review algorithm, backed by real estate professionals, cross-checks and corrects any inaccuracies. By the time the data is available in Origin (within an hour), it’s ready for use in your analysis, models, or reports. This automation allows your team to seamlessly update underwriting assumptions, deal views, or investor committee reports with reliable data.
If your team is focused on a specific type of investment or region, you can configure Origin so that every time a deal is submitted via email, not only is the data extracted, but the correct workflow is automatically triggered. The right team members will be added, key fields will be pre-populated, and the deal will appear in the proper pipeline stage. All users need to do is forward an email, and the deal is ready to go!
Comprehensive Market Database
This feature does more than just automate data extraction, create deals, and add them to your pipeline.
Every piece of data your deal team imports into Origin becomes part of a comprehensive market database. Instead of scattered files across folders, emails, and hard drives, you now have a centralized resource for all the market information your team gathers.
Think of it as your own internal "Costar system” - organizing crucial data for future underwriting assumptions, deal references, and strategic insights. It ensures that no valuable information goes unused and is readily available when needed.
